So after 3 weeks of intensive work with director Al Seed and the amazing Malcolm Rogan my stage manager and the new revamped version of 'Welcome my Son' is nearly ready to rock. Bring on the October tour.
2017 slow starter but a beautiful blaze. The first part of this year was spent settling into a new studio space, its far from ideal but it does the trick. I performed the full original version of 'Welcome my Son' in the oldest theatre in Scotland in May to a great response. This followed a week long artists rsidency with arts organisation 'The Stove' http://www.thestove.org check them out their amazing. Now on to the redevelopment of WMS throughout June.
2016 is proving to be a very exciting year. In July I flew to Helsinki where I took part in a 5 day acrobatics Masterclass for professional artists and teachers I then went direct to Italy for an audition and to perform 'Welcome's' opening scene at the Mirabilia Festival. I returned with huge ambition and massive inspiration and I've since been asked back for the 2nd stage of the selection process in Italy and Creative Scotland have confirmed funding for the further development and tour of 'Welcome my Son'. Next up is my show in http://www.woodendbarn.com Thursday 6th October. Hope to see you there.
Just confirmed 'Welcome my Son' for the 'Curious' program at Woodend Barn http://www.woodendbarn.com/ later in the year. I'm so excited to perform this show again canni wait. Exact date TBC but watch this space.
So tomorrow I'll be performing for the Chinese TV cameras for the 2nd time in 2 months. This time on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh for some of their national celebrates. Fingers crossed it doesn't snow! I've also been selected to represent the UK at a youth circus teachers event in Helsinki at the end of June. 2016 is rolling and tumbling on.
I've just returned from performing in Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year celebrations with the fantastic LUXe from Ireland and I'm raring to go with new show developments. Nothing like performing to billions of people word wide (apparently so) to help get the creative juices flowing.'Welcome my Son' is also heading for Emporium in 2 weeks time with a view to touring next year. 2016 has started with a BANG! long may the waves wander.
